Artist Bio

Ouddhena Eronigca

Ouddhena Eronigca is a multi-award-winning visual artist with a specialisation in mixed media and Batik artistry . She has a Master’s degree in Fine Arts (MFA) with a concentration in Arts and Humanities. Ouddhena has been travelling around the world for more than a decade, curating and actively participating in exhibitions as well as conducting holistic painting workshops, seminars, and teaching humanities by using art as an effective non-clinical therapeutic tool to raise awareness surrounding the topic of mental health. She also volunteers for numerous philanthropic projects to help raise funds to build essential infrastructures for children in need around the world. Her style of painting often incorporates intuitive elements of Batik, which is an ancient practice of using fluid hot wax-resist methods and techniques juxtaposed with fine, naturally-derived dyes to create dreamy fantasies and surreal escapism in her paintings. Batik is archaically practised in her ancestral land of Malaysia (former Malaya), parts of Asia and Africa collectively. She currently lives in a tranquil spot in a bewitching nordic country.
